Accommodations 

Below you'll find various options for staying on the South Shore of Kauai, near our wedding. Many of us will be staying at the Sheraton at Poipu. Many rooms can also be booked nearby via VRBO. If you need help finding potential roommates, please do not hesitate to reach out to either of us! While there are potentially cheaper hotels in Lihue and Waimea; you'll need to contend with traffic. Our reception venue will be shuttling guests to the church (St. Raphael) and to the reception (The Beach House); and back to a few local hotels in Poipu/Koloa (and ONLY Poipu/Koloa) after the wedding. Stay tuned for which hotels will have pickups and drop-offs. Once you book your lodging, please let us know where; so we can help plan the pickup and drop-off locations for the shuttle. We strongly recommend renting a car via Costco; which offers low pricing on well known companies like Avis, Hertz, Budget, Alamo, and Enterprise. Alternatively, try Kayak, Turo, or Pineapple Express (locally owned/veteran run).

Please be aware that many of Kauai's beaches, particularly on the north shore (opposite of where the wedding is), can be dangerous for swimming. Many beaches do not have lifeguards and rip tides can surprise you. Please be extra careful when swimming and exploring around the island. Pro Tip: if the locals aren't swimming past where they can touch, you shouldn't be either. We recommend wearing 'water shoes' if you plan on exploring tide pools or swimming (you do NOT want to step on coral or an urchin)! If you plan on snorkeling or swimming beyond where your feet can touch the bottom, please wear fins and/or bring a floatation device (pool noodle/surfboard/boogieboard/raft). If you've never flown to Hawaii before (and even if you have), be prepared to fill out a Department of Agriculture form on your flight and for an extra screening of your luggage. In addition to the world-class swimming and snorkeling on the south shore of Kauai (Poipu &amp; Kiahuna Beach), we recommend the following activities!

1 Day Trip to the North Shore: Anini Beach is one of the best places to begin snorkeling. Sea turtles frequent the beach! Just be careful not to stand on the coral!

1 Day Trip to the North Shore: You'll need a reservation online to tour the awesome Kilauea Lighthouse. In the winter months, you can see 30-40 foot swells slam into the cliffs here!

Walking tour signs identify the five different coffee varietals, as well as the entire coffee process from initial blossoming, through harvesting and processing, to the final roasting. We are beyond grateful that our friends and family are traveling across the Pacific Ocean to celebrate with us. It truly means so much to have you there as we begin the next chapter together. Between the two of us, we have already gathered household necessities, including kitchen essentials and the everyday items that make a home. Gift Registry

Guests are invited to dress in a tropical semi-formal or beach cocktail attire, such as elevated resort wear; including midi or maxi dresses, dressy jumpsuits, or lightweight suits and button-downs. Please opt for breathable fabrics and refined, dressy styles suitable for an outdoor setting. Weather in Kauai between late August and early September is typically warm and humid, with temperatures ranging from the mid-70s to mid-80s and occasional light rain. We recommend selecting attire appropriate for these conditions, with consideration for outdoor-friendly footwear. We kindly ask that guests avoid wearing yellow, as it will be worn by the bridal party.
